Use of Government Vehicles After Office Hours Banned in Balochistan

An important review meeting on the implementation of national austerity measures was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti. Several strict decisions were taken to ensure the effective and transparent use of government resources.
It was decided in the meeting that government vehicles being used by unauthorized individuals would be immediately retrieved. In this regard, instructions have been issued to take back vehicles from former governors, former chief ministers, former ministers, former members of the assembly, retired officers, and other unauthorized individuals. Strict action will be taken in case of violation.
The Chief Minister directed that a comprehensive audit of all government vehicles be conducted, and fuel supply be limited only to verified and authorized vehicles.
The meeting also approved the phased auction of government vehicles older than 2005, along with the rationalization of the vehicle fleet.
It was further decided that the use of government vehicles after office hours would be completely banned. However, prior approval from the competent authority will be mandatory for official use. In case of violation, action will be taken against the concerned officer.
The meeting also decided to install trackers in all government vehicles. It was also agreed that taking government vehicles خارج the province without permission would be prohibited.
Within the city, the movement of government vehicles will be monitored through Safe City cameras to further strengthen transparency and the monitoring system.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, made it clear that wastage of public resources will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict implementation of austerity measures will be ensured.
He directed that indiscriminate action be taken against unnecessary and unauthorized use of government vehicles to ensure proper and effective utilization of government resources.
