Punjab CM’s vision to ensure timely veterinary facilities at farmers’ doorsteps; keys distributed at a special ceremony
Faisalabad: In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Livestock Department of the Government of Punjab is taking practical steps to make field service delivery more effective, efficient and compatible with modern requirements. As part of these efforts, a dignified ceremony was held in district Jhang to provide customized motorcycles to para-veterinary staff on an interest-free basis with easy installments.
The ceremony was held at the Livestock Complex Jhang, with Deputy Commissioner Jhang Ali Akbar Bhinder as the chief guest. District Police Officer Jhang Bilal Iftikhar Kiani, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jhang Aamir Mahmood, former Member of the Provincial Assembly Mehr Sultan Sikandar Bharwana, Director Livestock Faisalabad Division Dr Haider Ali Khan, Additional Director Livestock District Jhang, Deputy Directors Livestock Jhang, and other officials attended the event. The guests distributed motorcycle keys among the para-veterinary staff.
Addressing the ceremony, Director Livestock Faisalabad Division Dr Haider Ali Khan said that, in accordance with the Punjab Chief Minister’s vision, the provision of motorcycles to field staff will enable livestock farmers to receive timely, effective and quality veterinary services at their doorsteps. He added that the distribution of motorcycles is being carried out in phases to further improve service delivery in remote and rural areas.
He further stated that the Punjab Livestock Department is fully committed to improving facilities for its field staff. This initiative will not only facilitate mobility in the field but will also significantly enhance the overall performance of livestock services, ultimately benefiting farmers and the provincial livestock sector.
