Faisalabad: In view of the prevailing security situation, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad, Sohail Akhtar Sukhera has issued stern security directives to the City Police Officer Faisalabad and District Police Officers of Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot to ensure foolproof security arrangements for Christmas celebrations.The RPO Sohail Sukhera directed that comprehensive security be provided at churches, Christian residential areas, missionary schools and hospitals, special Christmas markets and all related celebratory events. District police heads have been instructed to personally visit these locations, thoroughly brief deployed personnel and maintain close coordination with the Special Branch and other intelligence agencies to respond proactively to any threat alerts.Security measures include deployment of expert snipers on church rooftops, CCTV surveillance, combing operations in nearby hotels and guesthouses, technical scanning and sweeping of churches, and the deployment of additional police force at Christmas events. Metal detectors and walk-through gates will be used for body searches, while Elite Force teams will ensure effective surveillance around churches and key routes.Police pickets at entry and exit points of districts will be strengthened, patrols intensified and target hardening of sensitive locations ensured.RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera emphasized that all district police officers must implement these directives in letter and spirit to enable the Christian community to celebrate Christmas in a peaceful and secure environment, and to prevent any untoward incident.
