Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) secured the first position at the annual three-day Chrysanthemum Exhibition, which was organized under the auspices of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF). The FDA’s stalls were noted for their exquisite decoration. Director General FDA, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry received the shield for this achievement. Prominent figures present on the occasion included former MPA Najma Afzal, Director Horticulture Dr. Ahmad Sattar, Director Estate Management Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Consultant Horticulture Rana Sajjad and other experts. The exhibition was participated from various organizations, including UAF, FDA, PHA (Parks and Horticulture Authority), NIBG , Ayub Agricultural Research Institute and others. The competition featured six categories, including Cut Flowers, with the FDA achieving the top position in every category.Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry praised the splendid arrangement of the Chrysanthemum Exhibition and paid tribute to the efforts of the organizers. He stated that such exhibitions are not merely a source of awareness about flower varieties but that the beautiful and pleasant colors of nature have deep positive effects on the human mind and soul. He added that these initiatives play a key role in reducing social suffocation and mental stress.The Director General further informed that a standard nursery has been established under the supervision of the FDA for the propagation of plants and flowers. He mentioned that in FDA City, special and effective arrangements are in place for decorating and maintaining flowers and plants in parks, green belts, roundabouts, and triangular spaces. The DG congratulated the FDA’s Horticulture Team and instructed them to maintain this high standard of plant and flower cultivation, consistent with aesthetic tastes, so that the FDA’s role in enhancing the natural beauty of Faisalabad remains prominent.
