Chief Executive Officer Health Mandi Bahauddin Dr. Kiran Arshad has said that during the four-day anti-polio campaign in Mandi Bahauddin district, a total of more than 324,000 children will be administered polio drops. In this regard, health department teams consisting of 2,922 workers have been formed who will go door to door and administer polio vaccine drops to children up to 5 years of age. Dr. Kiran Arshad said that polio eradication is possible only through practical measures. He directed the DHOs to self-monitor the performance of the teams during the upcoming four-day anti-polio campaign and screening of the vaccination teams should be done on a daily basis. Dr. Kiran Arshad appealed to the parents to cooperate with the health department teams and ensure that their children up to the age of five years like Phule are vaccinated against polio to protect them from lifelong disabilities.
