District Police Officer Mandi Bahauddin Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi has said that the District Police Mandi Bahauddin has set a new record in welfare by issuing welfare grants worth more than Rs 17.7 million during the current month by taking drastic action against anti-social elements in the light of the orders of the IG Punjab. In a special conversation with the Bureau Chief of Daily Samaa Lahore, District Mandi Bahauddin Raja Muhammad Ayub, DPO Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said that the police has shown outstanding performance in the year 2025 by advancing the mission of welfare of its officers and men. A total of Rs 17.7 million 96 thousand was approved and distributed in various welfare areas from January 1, 2025 to November 30, 2025. Public Relations Officer to DPO Sub-Inspector Riyasat Ali was also present on the occasion. DPO Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said that during this period, more than 200 cases were disposed of by the Police Welfare Branch, out of which in 46 prominent cases, welfare gifts worth Rs 4.51 million were provided for the marriage of employees’ children. Scholarships worth Rs 2.419 million were issued to 71 talented children for education. In 49 cases, maintenance allowance of Rs 1.7 million was provided to the families and relatives of police martyrs and deceased. In 37 cases, grants of Rs 1.17 million were issued for the support of veterans and special children. DPO Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi further said that similarly, special assistance of Rs 5.8 million was also issued for the rehabilitation of injured district police personnel. While expanding welfare facilities for the better facilities of the personnel and their families, the district police has also signed formal Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with 12 educational institutions and 11 hospitals, so that they can be provided with quality educational and medical facilities on a concessional basis. The DPO said that the Mandi Bahauddin Police expresses its determination to continue the journey of welfare and welfare of its officers and personnel with the same continuity, so that they can fulfill their responsibilities for the protection of the lives and property of the public with peace of mind.
