Faisalabad: Regional Police Officer (RPO)Faisalabad Zeeshan Asghar, chaired an important meeting at the Regional Police Office to ensure strict implementation of traffic laws across the entire region. The meeting was attended by CPO Faisalabad Sahibzada Bilal Umer, SSP Safe City Malik Tariq Mahboob, SSP Highway Patrol Mirza Anjum Kamal, CTO Faisalabad Nasir Javed and district police officers.
During the meeting, officers presented a comprehensive briefing on regional traffic management, reduction of road accidents, facilitation for citizens and overall compliance with traffic regulations.RPO Zeeshan Asghar issued clear directives to intensify enforcement measures throughout the region. He emphasized zero-tolerance against violations of traffic rules, including one-way violations. He instructed all units to accelerate public awareness campaigns regarding enhanced fines and new traffic regulations. Police, Traffic Police and Punjab Highway Police were directed to conduct seminars to raise citizens’ awareness about traffic law compliance.To address chronic traffic congestion in urban areas, the RPO ordered the formulation of a comprehensive traffic-flow plan. The CPO and DPOs were asked to work closely with district administrations to improve road engineering. Additional traffic personnel will be deployed at busy markets and high-congestion points to maintain smooth traffic flow.Strict action will be taken against violators of helmet and seatbelt laws. The RPO further directed that Safe City’s AI-based cameras and CCTV monitoring systems be utilized more effectively to enforce traffic regulations. Joint operations will be conducted to eliminate illegal parking and encroachments, while road-safety measures will be intensified to reduce accidents.
RPO Zeeshan Asghar stressed the need for a robust strategy, improved checking mechanisms and continuous monitoring. He emphasized that an efficient and disciplined traffic system reflects the consciousness and civic responsibility of a civilized nation. He affirmed that he will extend all possible efforts to resolve traffic-related issues across the region.
