Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail has said that the problems of the people will be solved only by improving the performance of government institutions and removing system flaws, therefore, officers should focus on institutional reforms so that the problems of the common man are removed. He was addressing a meeting of the Divisional Coordination Committee here in his office in which RPO Mehboob Rashid, Deputy Commissioners Shahid Mahmood, Ahmed Usman Javed, Asif Raza, DPO Sahiwal Rana Tahir-ur-Rehman, DPO Okara Muhammad Rashid Hidayat, Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Saifullah Bhatti and divisional and district heads of law enforcement agencies participated. He directed that actionable suggestions should be given to eliminate the complaints of corruption in the institutions so that they can be removed and institutional improvements can be brought. Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail urged the Deputy Commissioners to also launch an awareness campaign to encourage the use of social media for guiding the public and providing accurate information so that the negative trend of its use can be stopped. He assured full support in the ongoing campaign to prevent electricity theft in Sahiwal Division and said that communication between the relevant institutions will be improved to identify electricity theft. He appreciated the performance of the relevant institutions on the successful campaign against encroachments and directed that operations should be continued on a daily basis to prevent temporary and permanent encroachments.
