Iran Lacks Backup Plan as Nuclear Talks With U.S. Stall

Rising tensions over Tehran’s uranium enrichment have put nuclear negotiations with the U.S. at risk. Three Iranian sources revealed on Tuesday that the clerical leadership does not have a clear fallback plan if talks fail to resolve the decades-long dispute. Iran insists on its right to enrich uranium under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, while the U.S. demands a complete halt. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has expressed doubt about the talks’ success. Internal divisions and economic pressures complicate Iran’s position, increasing uncertainty over the future of the nuclear agreement and regional stability.
