
Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin Hold Strategic Talks in Moscow
On the morning of May 8, Chinese President Xi Jinping met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin in Moscow. Xi emphasized that strengthening China-Russia ties is a historic necessity, vital for national development, mutual cooperation, and global justice. He noted the 80th anniversary of the victory against Japanese aggression and fascism, highlighting shared sacrifices. Amid rising global unilateralism and power politics, Xi stated that China and Russia, as UN Security Council permanent members, bear special responsibilities.
