MD WASA Orders Fast-Track Completion of Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza has directed to further accelerate the pace of work on the Wastewater Treatment Plant project and emphasized that construction must be completed within the given timeframe.
While presiding over a meeting attended by the project’s consultant, contractor, Project Director Awais Jamal and other officials, he stated that the Wastewater Treatment Plant is a key project for controlling urban pollution and no compromise will be made on the speed of its construction.
The MD WASA received a detailed briefing from the contractor regarding the progress made so far and expressed satisfaction over it.
He also instructed the consultant to ensure that the quality of materials used in construction must be of the highest standard so that the state-of-the-art project can serve as a model.
He further clarified that the SOPs issued by the Punjab Government for the safety of foreign engineers and staff are being strictly implemented and contractors are giving special attention to these measures.
