US Deports Over 200 Alleged Venezuelan Gang Members to El Salvador
The United States has deported more than 200 alleged members of a Venezuelan gang to El Salvador, where they were immediately transferred to a high-security prison, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele confirmed.
The move is part of an ongoing crackdown on transnational criminal networks, with US authorities working alongside Central American governments to combat organized crime. Bukele, known for his tough stance on gangs, emphasized that his administration will not tolerate criminals seeking refuge in the country.
The deportations come amid heightened concerns over gang-related violence in the region, as governments continue efforts to dismantle criminal organizations operating across borders.
