U.S. Appeals Court Rejects Trump Administration’s Bid to Delay Worker Reinstatement
A U.S. appeals court on Wednesday declined to halt a lower court ruling that requires President Donald Trump’s administration to reinstate more than 17,000 federal workers across six agencies. These employees had lost their jobs as part of Trump’s efforts to purge the federal workforce.
The decision is a setback for the administration, which had sought to delay the reinstatements while it appealed the ruling. The original court order found that the mass terminations violated federal employment protections.
