Trump Administration Extends Deadline for NYC Congestion Pricing Decision
The Trump administration has granted New York a 30-day extension on a March 21 deadline to end Manhattan’s congestion pricing program. The policy, which charges a $9 toll for vehicles entering below 60th Street, aims to ease traffic and fund transit improvements.
Governor Kathy Hochul has vowed to fight the federal order, while the MTA has filed a lawsuit to protect the program. The extension allows further discussions, but federal funding could be at risk if New York does not comply.
