Sahiwal Public Prosecution trains prosecutors and police officers on drug, murder, and sexual assault cases
The concluding day of special training courses for prosecutors and police officers organized by Public Prosecution Department Sahiwal, special lectures were given to prosecutors and investigating police officers pursuing drug cases on relevant laws, investigation stages and trial. Addressing the training workshop, senior lawyer Babar Sultan and prosecutors said that the aim of the training courses is to improve the professional affairs of the officers. To ensure strict punishment to the accused involved in serious crimes according to the law, complete preparation of cases and effective prosecution will be ensured, thereby ensuring the provision of justice. Close liaison should be maintained with the police and other relevant institutions so that steps can be taken to expedite the disposal of pending cases at the earliest. It should be noted that under the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, “Justice for All and Rule of Law”, training courses are being conducted for prosecutors and police investigation officers across Punjab in the light of the instructions of Secretary Public Prosecution Salman Ghani, in which prosecutors and investigation police officers pursuing murder, sexual assault and drug cases were given special training on relevant laws, investigation stages and trials. Senior lawyers and prosecutors gave lectures in the light of their knowledge and experience and during the question and answer session, the officers shared their experiences. The team of District Public Prosecutor Sahiwal Shah Din Dhadi and Ran ensured the successful conduct of the training course. Certificates were also distributed among the participants at the end of the training workshop.
