PM Shehbaz Orders Crackdown on Sugar Hoarders and Artificial Price Hike

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed strict action against those involved in hoarding sugar and artificially inflating prices.

🔹 No one will be allowed to hoard sugar or manipulate prices.
🔹 Crackdown on profiteers and hoarders; report to be submitted.
🔹 Strict monitoring of sugar supply and consumption.
🔹 Coordination with sugar mills to ensure proper supply management.
🔹 Ample sugar stock available; those creating an artificial crisis will face legal action.

Emphasizing public relief during Ramadan, the Prime Minister instructed Chief Secretaries of all four provinces to ensure sugar is available at regulated prices.

These directives were issued during a high-level meeting in Islamabad, attended by federal ministers, special assistants, senior officials, and provincial chief secretaries via video link. The Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on sugar consumption, supply, and pricing during the session.
