Security Forces Foil Major Attack Near Sorkhab Refugee Camp in Pishin
According to reports, security forces carried out a major operation in Pishin based on intelligence information. The operation was conducted against six terrorists near the Afghan refugee camp. Sources stated that the militants were preparing to attack important locations in Pishin. During the operation, six terrorists were killed, including one suicide bomber who detonated himself. According to another report, a heavy exchange of fire lasting about twenty minutes took place between security forces and terrorists near the Sorkhab refugee camp area of Pishin. In this clash, seven terrorists were reportedly killed. Officials said that a major sabotage plan was foiled as a result of the timely action. The killed terrorists were allegedly planning attacks on the Police Lines and the Cadet College, which were successfully prevented. During the operation, a large quantity of weapons and explosive materials was recovered from the terrorists and their vehicle. A clearance operation in the area is still ongoing.
