Pakistan Warns of Imminent Indian Military Incursion Following Kashmir Attack
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has warned that a military incursion by neighboring India is “imminent,” following a deadly militant attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir last week. Asif stated that Islamabad is closely monitoring the situation amid rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed rivals.
The warning comes in the wake of mounting Indian accusations that Pakistan-based groups were behind the attack, which left several civilians dead. While India has not officially confirmed any plans for military retaliation, Asif emphasized the need for national preparedness and urged the international community to play a proactive role in de-escalating the crisis.
Security along the Line of Control (LoC) has reportedly been heightened, and both countries have exchanged heated rhetoric in recent days. The latest developments threaten to undo years of diplomatic efforts aimed at stabilizing the fragile peace in the region
