Pakistan Successfully Tests Ababeel Missile System with 450km Range
On May 3, 2025, Pakistan successfully tested the “Ababeel” ballistic missile system with a range of 450 kilometers in Balochistan. The test aimed to assess the operational readiness of the military, as well as the missile’s advanced navigation system and enhanced maneuverability.
Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the scientists and engineers for the successful test.
The test came amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India, particularly following a terrorist attack in the Indian-administered Kashmir region in April. India accused Pakistan of being involved, which Pakistan has denied.
The success of the Ababeel missile marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s missile program, further enhancing its defense capabilities.
