Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch Meets Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani

Islamabad: Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch called on Chairman Senate and former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani at his office.
During the meeting, the former Prime Minister congratulated him on his appointment as Federal Ombudsman and expressed hope that with his experience, the institution would achieve further progress and development.
The Federal Ombudsman informed Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani that the institution had decided more than 2,61,000 complaints during the past year, with approximately 97 percent of the decisions already implemented.
Naveed Kamran Baloch further stated that to provide justice to citizens closer to their homes, the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat is operating 27 regional offices across the country.
In addition, officers of the institution visit remote areas to hear complaints and provide free and prompt justice to the people.
The former Prime Minister appreciated the performance of the Federal Ombudsman and remarked that under the leadership of Naveed Kamran Baloch the institution would continue to progress and play an effective role in resolving the problems of the underprivileged people of Pakistan.
He also assured his full cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman Senate presented a shield and a decorative vase representing his ancestral city Multan to the Federal Ombudsman.
