
Iranian Foreign Minister Meets Pakistan’s Army Chief to Discuss Regional Security and Bilateral Cooperation
Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, met with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at GHQ today. The meeting involved comprehensive and constructive discussions on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, with a specific focus on mutual security challenges faced by both nations.
Key topics included reviewing the Pak-Iran border security mechanism, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral coordination and collaboration. General Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its brotherly relationship with Iran, emphasizing the deep-rooted ties grounded in shared history, culture, and religion.
