FCCI Hosts Cardiovascular Health Awareness Session organized

FAISALABAD: An informative Awareness Session on Cardiovascular Health organized by the Sarwar Shahida Trust was held at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) with the participation of President FCCI Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, Senior Vice President Naveed Akram Sheikh and Vice President Engr. Asim Munir, along with a large number of industrialists, business leaders, chamber members and representatives from the healthcare sector.The session aimed to promote awareness about cardiovascular diseases, which remain one of the leading causes of death worldwide and to educate participants on the importance of preventive healthcare, early diagnosis and timely medical intervention.
Medical experts and cardiologists delivered detailed presentations on the major causes and risk factors of heart disease, including high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, smoking, physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary habits, stress and high cholesterol. They emphasized that many cardiovascular diseases can be prevented through lifestyle modifications, regular medical check-ups and early detection.
The speakers encouraged participants to adopt heart-healthy habits by maintaining a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity, avoiding tobacco products, managing stress effectively, ensuring adequate sleep and monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar levels on a routine basis.
Addressing the gathering, FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh appreciated the efforts of the Sarwar Shahida Trust for organizing such an important awareness initiative. He said that good health is the foundation of economic productivity and sustainable business growth, adding that awareness programs focusing on preventive healthcare are essential for building a healthier society.Senior Vice President Naveed Akram Sheikh highlighted the need for stronger collaboration between healthcare organizations and the business community to promote health education and encourage regular medical screening among employees and employers.
Vice President Engr. Asim Munir stressed that awareness is the first step towards prevention and urged participants to prioritize their health by adopting healthy lifestyles and seeking timely medical advice whenever necessary.
At the conclusion of the session, participants actively interacted with the healthcare experts during a question-and-answer session, receiving practical guidance on heart disease prevention, recognizing early warning signs, and maintaining long-term cardiovascular wellness. The participants appreciated the informative session and expressed the hope that similar awareness programs would continue to benefit the business community and the general public.
