Colombian-Venezuelan Migrant Deported from U.S. to El Salvador; Wife Asserts Innocence
Andres Guillermo Morales, a 26-year-old dual citizen of Colombia and Venezuela, was deported from the United States over the weekend and is currently detained in a high-security prison in El Salvador. His wife, Deicy Aldana, contends that Morales has no criminal record or affiliations with the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, challenging the U.S. government’s justification for his deportation.
Morales, who held a legal U.S. work permit as part of his asylum application, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in early February.
