Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff, is on an official visit to the United States, engaging with senior political and military leadership as well as the Pakistani diaspora.

In Tampa, he attended the retirement ceremony of outgoing CENTCOM Commander General Michael E. Kurilla and the change of command to Admiral Brad Cooper, praising General Kurilla’s leadership and expressing confidence in continued cooperation under Admiral Cooper. He also met Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine, discussing matters of mutual interest and inviting him to visit Pakistan, while interacting with defence chiefs from friendly nations.
