Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said Chinese companies’ investment in hydropower, including the Suki Kinari project, has greatly advanced Pakistan’s clean energy goals. Speaking at its first commercial operation anniversary in Islamabad, he noted the project has supplied 2.8 billion kWh of clean energy since September 2024 and created local jobs.
