In Batagram’s Nilband area, the death toll from a flash flood has risen to 10, while search efforts continue for 18 more people. According to Assistant Commissioner Salim Khan, five houses were destroyed last night due to a lightning strike in Nilband village, located on the border of Batagram and Mansehra districts, triggering the flood.
So far, 10 bodies have been recovered from the river at Shimlai Mandrowali, and rescue teams from Rescue 1122, police, and local volunteers are actively involved in ongoing search and relief operations.
