Anti-Corruption Establishment Arrests Marriage Officiant and Witness in Fake Marriage Certificate Case

Multan Region Circle Officer Ramzan Shahid, under the directives of the Anti-Corruption Establishment, arrested Muhammad Asghar Nikah Khwan (marriage officiant) and Muhammad Sajid, a witness, in FIR No. 03/24 from Kotli Najabat, Tehsil Shujaabad, District Multan. The arrests were made after their bail was revoked by the Anti-Corruption Court.
The Director General of the Anti-Corruption Punjab, Sohail Zafar Chattha, has issued strict instructions to all regional directors to ensure the arrest of all corrupt elements at any cost and bring them to justice. The aim is to make them an example for others.
Acting on the special instructions of Regional Director Anti-Corruption Multan, Basharat Nabi, Circle Officer Ramzan Shahid took action against Muhammad Asghar Nikah Khwan and witness Sajid Ali of Kotli Najabat, Tehsil Shujaabad, District Multan. They were arrested today after their bail was revoked by the Anti-Corruption Court for their involvement in preparing a fake marriage certificate for a 13-year-old girl.
Spokesperson for Anti-Corruption, Wazir Khan Lashari, Assistant Director of Anti-Corruption Multan Region, stated, “We are striving for a corruption-free Punjab. The public should fearlessly identify corrupt elements, and they will be made an example. The Punjab government’s zero-tolerance policy and the vision of the Director General of Punjab are being strictly followed.
