Dr Zulfiqar Ali Administers Oath to New Cabinet of Agrarian Society

FAISALABAD:

The newly elect cabinet of the Agrarian Society, the student body, of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad took oath, reaffirming their committed to work for humanity and the welfare of campus community, agriculture sector and farmers.

UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali along with Dean Faculty of Agriculture Prof Dr Ghulam Murtaza, Convener and Chairman Entomology Prof Dr Waseem Akram, Secretary Advisory Board Prof Dr Nadeem Abbas, administrated the oath.

The new cabinet include Society Alaina Shafique as President; M Talha as Senior Vice President, Fatima Khan Afzal Vice president, Awais Nasir, Secretary External Linkages, Waqar Hussain, General Secretary, Zulnorain as Joint Secretary, Hafiz Shoaib Press Secretary, Attika Nazir, Finance Secretary, Jameel, Sports Secretary, Laiba Shafiq, Incharge Fine Arts, Mudasar, Incharge Media, Iqra and Zain ul Abideen In-charge Pictorial Board members and Laiba Ashiq and Umair Khan as active members.

Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali said the society comprises talented, intelligent, and service-oriented youth, with intense competition.

He expressed hope that following the oath-taking ceremony, the youth will fully abide by every word of their pledge, utilizing their skills solely for the service of humanity and development.

He said that the agriculture sector was in the grip of different challenges including changing weather patterns, soil deteriorating, and water scarcity. It is the responsibility of the agrarians to find the tangible solution to cope with the situation.

Prof Dr Ghulam Murtaza said the Agrarian Society was channeling the energy of the youth in a constructive direction.

He said that students who remain committed to the “pen and book” will serve as a guiding light for newcomers through their character and conduct.

Prof Dr Waseem Akram said that students involved in such positive activities are remembered across the entire student community for their distinguished qualities.

The members of the cabinet are fortunate to find the opportunity for such noble service.
