Yen Strengthens After BOJ Holds Rates, Signals Asset Sales

The yen firmed against the dollar on Friday after the Bank of Japan kept interest rates unchanged. The decision saw two dissenting votes in favor of a hike, while the BOJ also announced plans to sell some holdings of exchange-traded funds and real estate investment trusts.
