Punjab Faces Severe Flood Situation as Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej Rivers Reach Critical Levels

Punjab is grappling with extreme flood conditions as the Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej rivers swell due to heavy rainfall in upper regions. At Kot Nina, Ravi sees 230,000 cusecs inflow, while Jassar and Shahdara report 229,000 and 71,000 cusecs, respectively. Chenab’s flow at Head Marala reached 922,000 cusecs. Authorities decided against breaching sections, with Ravi expected to carry 150,000 cusecs today.
