Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza, a prominent preacher in Punjab, has been taken into custody and placed under house arrest. Jhelum Deputy Commissioner Meesam Abbas told Independent Urdu that Mirza was arrested under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) law. Authorities cited concerns over potential public unrest as the reason for his detention.
