State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce addressed reporters in Washington as Israeli airstrikes on Gaza showed no sign of easing and U.S.-backed ceasefire negotiations remained stalled. The briefing came ahead of expected talks in Cairo, where senior Hamas figure Khalil Al-Hayya is set to meet Egyptian mediators in an effort to revive a truce proposal.
