The Balochistan Private Schools Associations Alliance (BPSAA) has decided to approach the Balochistan High Court against a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner West that bars private schools from collecting fees for the vacation period. The alliance has termed the notification illegal and unconstitutional.

In this regard, a high-level delegation of the alliance held an important meeting with President of the Balochistan Bar Association, Mir Attaullah Langau, at his office in the Balochistan High Court. The delegation included Mir Bahadur Khan Langau, Advocate Mir Muhammad Musa Langau, Haji Muhammad Saleem Nasir, Liaquat Ali Hazara, and General Secretary Muhammad Nawaz Pandrani.

During the meeting, General Secretary Muhammad Nawaz Pandrani briefed the Bar Association president on the legal aspects of the DC West notification. He also presented copies of judgments, court orders, and previous notifications issued by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Balochistan High Court, which the alliance says address the collection of school fees during vacation periods.

The delegation formally requested legal assistance from the president of the Balochistan Bar Association to file a constitutional petition before the Balochistan High Court.

Mir Attaullah Langau received the documents and assured the delegation that they would be thoroughly reviewed. On the occasion, the delegation also met Deputy Registrar of the Balochistan High Court Munir Ahmed Langau to obtain information about the requirements and procedure for filing the petition.

According to the alliance’s spokesperson, the Balochistan Private Schools Associations Alliance will not allow what it considers an infringement of the legal rights of private educational institutions or a threat to the education system.

The spokesperson added that, after reviewing the relevant legal documents, the alliance intends to file a constitutional petition before the High Court at the earliest opportunity. The move aims to challenge the DC West notification and seek protection of the rights of private educational institutions while upholding the rule of law and the dignity of educational institutions.
