conducted an operation in Mandi Bahauddin and arrested Rana Noman—the in-charge of the Assistant Director Land Records (ADLR) office in Phalia—red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 100,000. The bribe money was also recovered from the accused’s possession during the operation. According to details, a raiding team led by Circle Officer Mirza Imran-ul-Haq Baig—operating under the supervision of Deputy Director Chaudhry Ziaullah Sohi—executed a successful trap raid accompanied by a magistrate. During the operation, Rana Noman, a Grade-17 officer serving as the Service Center In-charge at the ADLR office in Phalia, was arrested on the spot, and the alleged bribe amount of Rs. 100,000 was recovered from him. Anti-corruption officials stated that a case (No. 18/2026, dated September 24, 2026) has been registered against the accused at the Anti-Corruption Police Station, Mandi Bahauddin, under Section 161 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Sections 5(2)/47 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Circle Officer Mirza Imran-ul-Haq Baig stated that further investigation into the incident is underway and legal proceedings are being carried out.
