Dawat-e-Islami Holds Grand Mawlid and Graduation Ceremony in Fort Bend
Seven young scholars graduate in Jamia-tul-Madina’s fourth U.S. commencement, bringing the total number of graduates to 28

Dawat-e-Islami USA hosted a grand Mawlid and Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Fort Bend Epicenter in Rosenberg, Texas. Held in celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, the event drew more than 500 attendees, filling the hall with families, community members, young people, and distinguished guests.
The evening featured recitation of the Holy Quran, Hamd and Naat, and inspiring speeches highlighting the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the importance of love for the Prophet ﷺ, and the need to provide religious and moral guidance to younger generations.
Imran Attari, a senior representative of Dawat-e-Islami, also addressed the gathering via video link, sharing a special message with the attendees.
A major highlight of the evening was the fourth graduation commencement of Jamia-tul-Madina in the United States, where seven students successfully completed the institution’s five-year Islamic studies program.
The Class of 2026 graduates were Habib Jamal, Asif Madni, Ahmed Tariq Choudhri, Muhammad Huzema Madni, Muhammad Reza Madni, Mustafa Madni, and Ziaudeen Madni.
With this graduating class, Jamia-tul-Madina has now produced 28 scholars through its U.S. program.
The five-year educational program represents a significant investment in the future of Muslim youth in America. Many students begin their studies at approximately 10 to 13 years of age and graduate in their late teens after receiving extensive religious and moral education. Graduates often go on to serve their communities through religious education, leadership and as imams, while some are also pursuing scholarly and writing projects.
The work of Jamia-tul-Madina and Faizan-e-Madina is particularly significant because it provides young Muslims growing up in the United States an opportunity to remain connected with their faith while preparing them to become knowledgeable and responsible community leaders. The large presence of young people at Saturday’s event was itself an encouraging indication of that commitment.
Several Fort Bend County elected officials, candidates, community leaders and prominent guests attended the ceremony, including Dexter McCoy, Judge Surendran Pattel, Jeffrey Boney, Bill Rickert, Ken Mathew, and State Representative Dr. Suleman Lalani.
Community representatives and leaders in attendance also included Usman Khawaja, Abdul Rehman Patel, , Muzaffar Vora, and Arsalan Malik, among others.
The program concluded with a special Dua led by Kashif Madni, offering prayers for the Muslim community, peace and prosperity, and the success and guidance of future generations. Dinner was served following the program.
The Grand Mawlid and Graduation Ceremony brought together two meaningful occasions in one memorable evening. While the Mawlid celebration expressed the community’s deep love and devotion to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the graduation of seven young scholars carried an equally important message: the Muslim community in America is not only preserving its religious heritage, but also investing in a new generation capable of carrying its knowledge, values and leadership into the future.
