Attock: Powerful Gas Explosion in Shahabad Leaves 23-Year-Old Injured

ATTock (Ijaz-ul-Hassan): A powerful explosion caused by gas leakage occurred in the Shahabad area of Attock, causing significant damage to a residential building and leaving a 23-year-old man seriously burned.

The explosion was reportedly caused by accumulated gas, and the blast was loud enough to be heard in surrounding areas. Several walls of the house collapsed, windows were shattered, and different parts of the building sustained severe damage.

The injured man, identified as 23-year-old Balaj, son of Shafqat, suffered serious burn injuries in the incident.

Following the incident, Rescue 1122 Attock teams, including an ambulance and fire-rescue personnel, immediately reached the scene along with District Emergency Officer Dr. Mian Ashfaq.

Rescue medical staff provided Balaj with initial treatment at the scene before transferring him to District Headquarters Hospital Attock due to the seriousness of his condition.

Meanwhile, Rescue 1122 firefighters launched an operation to control the fire. After approximately one hour of emergency response efforts, the fire was successfully brought under control.

Authorities and rescue teams responded promptly to prevent the incident from causing further damage or injuries.
