Attock Hosts Spiritual Naat Poetry Gathering to Mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ

The Government of Punjab organized a dignified and spiritually uplifting Naat poetry gathering at the Municipal Hall in Attock to mark the blessed occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ.

The event was attended by renowned poets from Attock district as well as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who expressed their love and devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through their Naat poetry.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, performed by Hafiz Sarfraz. Later, renowned Punjabi poet associated with the Police Department, Hussain Amjad, presented a beautiful Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. His recitation created an atmosphere of devotion and reverence, and the audience warmly appreciated his performance.

The Naat poetry gathering was presided over by renowned poet Raja Mukhtar Saghrewri, while Shakir Al-Qadri attended the event as the chief guest. Chief Officer Municipal Committee Attock Sardar Aftab Ahmed hosted the ceremony.

Well-known poets from Attock district, along with Pashtun poets from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, participated in the gathering. Through their poetry, the poets expressed their deep love and devotion to the Holy Prophet ﷺ and highlighted various aspects of his Seerah, noble character and teachings.

Participants appreciated the Government of Punjab and the Municipal Committee Attock for organizing the spiritual and literary event. Speakers and attendees said that Naat gatherings help promote love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ while also highlighting the values, ethics and teachings associated with his Seerah.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the presiding poet, chief guest and other distinguished personalities distributed commemorative shields among the participating poets in recognition of their contributions to Naat poetry.

The participants expressed hope that more meaningful, spiritual and literary programs would be organized in the future as part of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations, helping promote the values of love, brotherhood, compassion and service to humanity.
