Additional Deputy Commissioner Attock Directs Early Disposal of Pension Cases

ATTOCK: Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Attock Anil Saeed has said that the timely disposal of pension cases is among the top priorities of the Punjab Government, adding that unnecessary delays in processing such cases will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting on pension cases in his capacity as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Planning). The meeting was attended by officers from various government departments across the district, who presented detailed briefings on pending pension cases, their current status, and the challenges causing delays.
Addressing the participants, Anil Saeed directed all departments to expedite the preparation, scrutiny, and approval of pension cases in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations. He emphasized that every effort should be made to complete all required formalities within the stipulated time to ensure retired government employees and their families receive their pension benefits without delay.
He stated that the welfare of pensioners is an important responsibility of the Punjab Government and urged all concerned officers to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner further instructed departments to immediately rectify minor deficiencies in pending cases and resolve all outstanding matters on a priority basis so that deserving beneficiaries can receive their pensions and other financial benefits on time.
He noted that unnecessary delays in pension processing not only create hardships for retired employees and their families but are also unacceptable from an administrative standpoint. He stressed that resolving such issues requires effective coordination and collective responsibility among all concerned departments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Anil Saeed directed all departmental heads to strengthen interdepartmental coordination and ensure the early disposal of pending pension cases while strictly adhering to the prescribed timelines in the future to provide maximum relief and convenience to deserving pensioners.
