AWARD Pakistan Marks International Environment Day 2026 with Awareness Rally and Tree Plantation Campaign
FAISALABAD: In support of the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development, AWARD Pakistan celebrated International Environment Day 2026 on June 5 by organizing an environmental awareness rally and tree plantation campaign in Faisalabad.
More than 100 enthusiastic young participants took part in the event, demonstrating their commitment to promoting environmental responsibility and building a greener future for Pakistan.
The primary objective of the campaign was to raise public awareness about environmental conservation, tree plantation, cleanliness, pollution control, and the responsible use of natural resources. Participants carried banners and placards displaying messages encouraging environmental protection and sustainable living practices.

Following the awareness rally, participants and guests planted saplings at various locations, emphasizing the critical role of trees in combating climate change, improving air quality, and creating healthier communities.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Christina Peter, Senior Vice President of the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI) and Executive Director of AWARD Pakistan, highlighted the growing environmental challenges facing the world today.
She stressed that climate change and environmental pollution have become major global concerns and urged young people to take an active role in protecting the environment.
“Environmental protection is not only the responsibility of governments and organizations, but it is a collective duty of every citizen. Our small actions such as planting trees, reducing waste, conserving water, and keeping our surroundings clean can bring meaningful change for future generations. Youth have the power to lead this transformation and build a greener, safer, and healthier Pakistan,” she said.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Mr. Yousaf Adnan, Executive Director of Care Foundation, Mr. Farooq, Mr. Pervaiz Paul, Mr. Irfan John, Mr. Akmal Javed Gill, and members of the AWARD Pakistan team, all of whom actively participated in the awareness and plantation activities.
Speakers praised the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by the youth and reaffirmed AWARD Pakistan’s dedication to promoting environmental awareness, tree plantation initiatives, and sustainable development programs throughout the country.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to continue practical efforts for environmental protection, plant more trees, reduce pollution, and contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Pakistan for future generations.
