LDA Staff Union Meeting Highlights Salary Issues, Promotions, and Workplace Safety
A significant and well-attended meeting of the LDA Staff Welfare Union was held, where detailed discussions took place regarding employees’ rights, issues, and welfare. A large number of union office-bearers and members participated in the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, General Secretary Faisal Butt, President Ramzan Gujjar, Chief Executive Wilayat Khan, Chief Organizer Shehzad Anwar, Tahir Mahmood Tara, and Rashid Bhatti stated that employees are the backbone of any institution, and ensuring their rights is the foremost responsibility of the administration.
The speakers demanded timely payment of salaries, transparency in the promotion process, improvement in the service structure, and the provision of a safe working environment. They emphasized that institutions cannot progress unless employees are granted their due rights.
The meeting reaffirmed the union’s commitment to raising its voice at every level for the protection of employees’ rights and to strongly resist any form of injustice. Union leaders stated that while they prefer constructive dialogue with the administration to resolve issues, they would not hesitate to protest if employees’ rights are violated.
In conclusion, the speakers urged the government and relevant authorities to address long-standing issues of employees on an urgent basis and to seriously consider their legitimate demands so that employees can perform their duties with peace of mind and satisfaction.
