Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar reviews price compliance at Jhang Road bazaar as 156,587 families receive Rs. 10,000 Ramazan Nigehban Cards across Faisalabad Division.
Faisalabad: In line with the vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Nigehban Ramazan Bazaars are ensuring the availability of quality essential commodities at subsidized prices, attracting a large number of consumers for daily shopping. Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar paid a visit to the Nigehban Ramazan Bazaar located on Jhang Road, where he inspected fruit and vegetable stalls to review quality standards and price compliance. He also checked the availability of official price lists and directed vendors to strictly adhere to government-approved rates.The Commissioner instructed Price Control Magistrates to remain active in general markets and take strict action against hoarders and profiteers. During his visit, he also interacted with citizens present at the bazaar and inquired about price differences compared to open market rates. Meanwhile, the Commissioner stated that the distribution of “Ramazan Nigehban Cards” among deserving families across the Faisalabad Division is ongoing. So far, financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 each has been distributed to 156,587 families through the card system. Providing district-wise details, he said that 71,121 families in Faisalabad district, 40,067 in Jhang, 22,100 in Toba Tek Singh and 23,299 in Chiniot have so far received Ramazan Nigehban Cards at their doorsteps.The initiative aims to facilitate low-income families during the holy month of Ramazan by ensuring access to essential commodities and direct financial assistance in a transparent and organized manner.
