FAISALABAD: Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry cut a Christmas cake along with Christian employees and other staff members and extended warm greetings to the Christian community on their religious festival.
Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rand, Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Directors Junaid Hassan Manj, Yasir Ejaz Chattha, Suhail Maqsood Pannu, Deputy Director Mian Asad Majeed, Assistant Director Qamar Shehzad, office-bearers of the Inqalabi Workers Union including Rai Asif, Sadaqat Baloch and Mian Muneeb Riaz, Reverend Jofin William, along with Christian employees and other staff members, participated in the cake-cutting ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry appreciated the services of Christian employees for the organization and said that members of minority communities are playing an equal role in national development and public service. He emphasized that all Pakistanis are united, and through national solidarity and interfaith harmony, the country will be taken to new heights of progress.
He informed that to further enhance the joy of Christmas, salaries of Christian employees had been paid in advance, and special honorariums were also provided to them on the occasion. The DG said that all staff members are equal for the administration and that the organization fully shares in the happiness of its Christian employees. He reaffirmed the commitment to continue initiatives for staff welfare and well-being.
Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rand and other officers also expressed solidarity with Christian employees and stated that as a Pakistani nation, all joys are shared and collective efforts will continue for the service of the country and the nation. Office-bearers of the Inqalabi Workers Union and other staff members also extended Christmas greetings to Christian employees and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the rights of minority employees.
Reverend Jofin William and Christian employees thanked DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, other officers and the office-bearers of the Inqalabi Workers Union for organizing the Christmas celebration, stating that such encouragement promotes national unity and interfaith harmony. At the conclusion of the ceremony, prayers were offered for the development and prosperity of the country, national unity, and peace and security.
