During the four-day anti-polio campaign in Mandi Bahauddin from December 15 to 18, polio vaccine drops are being administered to children up to the age of five. To ensure the success of the campaign, Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Kiran Arshad, DDHO Dr. Mehwish, Staff Incharge Fayyaz Ahmed and PSO-2 CEO Faisal Nazir along with other officers of the health department made surprise visits to different areas and reviewed the performance of the staff and the process of administering polio drops to children in other fields. They met polio workers from house to house and made parents aware about the importance of polio drops. The purpose of the door-to-door visit of the CEO Health was to review the attendance of field workers, the quality of the vaccination process of children and the overall progress of the campaign. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Kiran Arshad said that the campaign will continue until a single child is protected from the polio virus and the district will be 100 percent polio-free. He appealed to parents to ensure that their children up to the age of five are vaccinated against polio so that they can be protected from lifelong disabilities.
