Faisababad: At Faisalabad College of Law, District Women Protection Officer Mrs. Kanwal Shehzadi stated that women make up more than fifty percent of the country’s population and should have significant representation in all sectors. She emphasized that to compete with other countries, women should be provided safe and equal opportunities instead of being confined to homes, enabling them to become productive members of society. Referring to the Punjab Protection of Women Against Violence Act 2016, she noted that the law ensures women’s protection, relief, and access to legal assistance.
The session was also addressed by College Director Mushtaq Khan, Women Protection Officer Sanam Zahra, Law Officer Zahid Ali Shakir, and other speakers. A large number of teachers and students attended the event. At the conclusion of the session, Principal Ms. Aimen appreciated the services of the Women Protection Center, and Director Mushtaq Khan presented honorary shields to the guests.
