The government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 for the cleaning of flood-damaged houses in the Thimbirigasyaya Divisional Secretariat Division of the Colombo District.
It has been decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 for the cleaning of houses damaged by the current disaster situation. Accordingly, the financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 provided by the government for the cleaning of flood-damaged houses in the Thimbirigasyaya Divisional Secretariat Division of the Colombo District was presented yesterday (02) under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasooriya.At this event, more than 100 families in the flood-affected areas of the Thimbirigasyaya Divisional Secretariat Division were provided with financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 for the cleaning of their houses and this amount will be provided by the relevant Divisional Secretariats in the future to the people of other Divisional Secretariat Divisions affected by the disaster to clean their houses.The event was attended by the Chairman of the Colombo District Coordination Committee, MP Lakshman Nipunarachi, the Mayor and members of the Colombo Municipal Council, District Secretary Kinike Prasanna Janaka Kumara, Thimbirigasyaya Divisional Secretary Sugath Sisira Kumara, officials and many people of the Thimbirigasyaya Divisional Secretariat area.
