Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood has said that promotion of co-curricular activities along with curricular education in educational institutions is the need of the hour so that all-round training of students can be made possible. Addressing the Frog Honors Day ceremony held at Divisional Public School and College Sahiwal, he said that DPS Sahiwal is the pride of the city not only in terms of quality education but also in terms of excellent training, the credit for which goes to the joint efforts of Principal Akbar Ali, teachers, students and parents. Trophies, medals and certificates of appreciation were distributed to the students who secured prominent positions in the Matriculation Examinations 2025 at the ceremony. Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Saifullah Bhatti, Director Public Relations Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq, Controller Examinations Dr. Naveed Azmat, Principal Akbar Ali and Board of Trustees members Chaudhry Sultan Mahmood, Dr. Shahzad Tahir Chaudhry and Mehrullah Yar Khan were present on the occasion. Congratulating the successful students, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood said that their success is the result of continuous hard work and hoped that they would continue to work hard in the future. Additional Commissioner Dr. Saifullah Bhatti said on the occasion that the main task of educational institutions is to develop the thinking ability of children and DPS is fulfilling this goal in the best possible way. He urged parents to give time to their children and avoid strictness so that they can determine their destination with confidence. Principal Akbar Ali, while mentioning the outstanding achievements of the institution, said that 604 out of 610 students succeeded in the Matriculation Examination 2025 and the success ratio was 99.01 percent. He said that this year 359 students achieved A+ grades and made the institution proud. At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation and cash prizes were also distributed among the teachers who showed excellent performance.
