Australia’s opener Usman Khawaja has achieved his first-ever double century in Test cricket.

During a Test match against Sri Lanka, Khawaja reached the remarkable milestone of a double century, marking a significant achievement in his career.

With this double century, Khawaja also set a unique record, becoming the first Australian batter to score a double century on Sri Lankan soil. He made the milestone in 290 balls and was dismissed for 232 runs.

Steve Smith Breaks Virat Kohli’s Record for Most Centuries Outside Home

Before Khawaja, Mark Taylor, Greg Chappell, Dean Jones, Matthew Hayden, and Jason Gillespie from Australia had previously scored double centuries in Asia, making Khawaja the sixth Australian to achieve this feat on the continent.

On the second day of the ongoing first Test match against Sri Lanka, Steve Smith reached a significant landmark, completing 10,000 Test runs. Smith was dismissed after scoring 141 runs, while Josh Inglis made 102 runs.

Australia now has five players out but has built a massive total against Sri Lanka.
