The selection was conducted through an independent and transparent voting process, involving a panel of former male and female cricketers, including Wasim Akram, Zaheer Abbas, Azhar Ali, Bismah Maroof, and Nain Abidi, as well as sports journalists and analysts.
Mushtaq Mohammad:
Representing Pakistan from 1959 to 1979, Mushtaq Mohammad was a celebrated captain under whose leadership Pakistan won its first-ever Test match in Australia in 1977. He also coached the national team that reached the ICC Men’s World Cup final in 1999.
