Rawalpindi – Pakistan’s Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, has stated that PTI’s falsehoods have been exposed, and not a single drop of blood was shed at D-Chowk during recent protests.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday in Rawalpindi, the minister announced legal action against those who posted fabricated news of casualties on social media.
“On one side, we see a politics of chaos and violence. It is deeply concerning that even the politics of dead bodies is being promoted,” he remarked.
Tarar emphasized that whenever Pakistan is on the path to development, elements seeking to spread instability become active. “Fixing the economy is Shahbaz Sharif’s mission,” he added.
Criticizing PTI’s claims, Tarar pointed out that even after three days, the party has failed to provide evidence or accurate numbers of casualties and injuries. “It has been three days, and PTI has not presented a single video of alleged shootings on protesters,” he stated.
He also accused PTI of spreading false narratives against the military. “PTI suffers from a phobia of the army and is posting lies about the Army Chief,” he claimed.
Referring to Ali Amin Gandapur, Tarar called him “a coward” and dismissed his remarks as empty rhetoric. He further announced that PTI protesters arrested during the unrest would face speedy trials, with no one being released.
Highlighting the misinformation circulating in international media, Tarar said, “Foreign media is airing old footage. PTI has shown no concern for the Rangers personnel whose families were orphaned or for the destruction caused to poor people’s motorcycles.”
The minister reiterated that Pakistan is on a trajectory of growth. “Foreign delegations are visiting Pakistan more frequently. In the last seven months, we have seen more international engagements than ever before,” he concluded.
