Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that Afghan citizens will not be allowed to reside within Islamabad’s limits after December 31 without obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that Afghan nationals who wish to stay in the capital must secure an NOC. He clarified that, starting January 1, 2025, Afghan citizens residing in Islamabad without the required documentation will not be permitted to remain within the city’s boundaries.
This directive comes as part of government efforts to regulate undocumented individuals and ensure compliance with residency rules.
